Hello! Thanks for joining me today! I have a new layout using Paige’s Maze Background cut file (Design ID #267505) and a few of Paige’s collections from Pink Paislee, including Turn the Paige, Oh My Heart and Fancy Free!
I started the layout by cutting the maze from white cardstock. I reduced the size of the maze to about 10″x10″ so I would have a wider border around the edge. I got the bright idea that I wanted the whole maze background to have a nice deep shadow, so I spent a bit of time adding foam tape and foam dots all around the backside of the background. I didn’t add foam to every piece, just the key areas to hold it all up nicely.
My embellishing came next! I had chosen the title before anything else; you can see how amazing I am at titles 🙂 One of my favorite things to do is to mix the alphas from all of Paige’s collections, it just looks so fun and whimsical! After I chose a photo of my daughter doing homework, I decided to go with a star theme and picked out all the stars from the Turn the Page chipboard stickers! I used a journal piece from Fancy Free to ground the top cluster and make a great starting spot for my title.
I added the start here chipboard from Turn the Page at the bottom of the layout. I thought it would be super cute to have it pointing to the little star peg that I added into the maze. I popped on a few more stars around the chipboard and also added a star paper clip from Turn the Page! To make the little star peg I tucked an eyelet (not squished) under the cut file background paper in one of the grooves then I glued a gold star to the top of the eyelet!
Paige’s cut files can be used so many ways! Even though I kept the background very simple on this layout, it inspired the whole page and the meaning behind the photo for me!
This is really fabulous – you are so clever!
Thank you Susan!! Paige is the clever one 🙂
