Hello! Today I am sharing my spin on a holiday layout using Vicki Boutin Mixed Media! I focused on pretty colours and gold and silver texture glaze!
I created big puddles of paint with the Neutral Art Crayon set and added watered down Watercolor Marker in the Cotton Candy colour to the mix as well. I let each application of “paint” dry so that I could layer the colour. I added puddles of paint 3 times to the background and also added splatters each time. At the end, I added a little bit of the purple Watercolor Marker as well.
To make my snowflakes, I added very thin coats of Silver and Gold glaze to white cardstock and let it air dry overnight. I then used my manual die cut machine and cut snowflakes from the metallic paper. I kept every scrap of those papers as they turned out beautifully!!
For my title, I used the day word from Vicki’s free Gnome cut file and added the word winter that I cut in Silhouette. I sprinkled a few puffy gold dots from the WIldflower & Honey puffy titles pack to finish the layout!
