Hello Crate Paper friends! Hope you are well and enjoying the last days of August! I have two spreads in my gorgeous Crate Paper Journal to share with you today! I documented a trip I took to Palm Desert, CA. with all the lovely stickers, die cuts and puffy stickers that co-ordinate with the pretty Journal covers and inserts!
My first spread started with two envelopes I made. I used watercolour on a plain sheet of heavy copy paper and folded it up for an envelope. The second envelope is made with an index/recipe card. Once I decided on a spot for the envelopes I shuffled my photos around until they fit nicely and looked pleasant! I used loads of stickers on these pages; my favourites are the floral stickers and word strips!
I love to layer, even in my Journal Studio inserts! I use the envelopes for my journaling, so I don’t have to worry about writing over a layered surface. I used one of the journal spots in the ephemera pack to layer behind the small envelope and layered some floral stickers on top of the photo. I do take the sticky off the back of the stickers with a powder pouch if I am unsure about where I want to add it!
In the back of the Journal Studio Sticker Book, there are a few sheets of alphabets in various colours. I chose the wood grain alphabet for these pages, and I love the detail it adds!
My next spread continues with the same trip. I made another envelope for my journaling with the Sunkissed paper from Sunny Days. The blue co-ordinates beautifully with the blues in Journal Studio! I layered a second index card envelope on top of the Sunkissed envelope, tucked in a cute tabbed journal card and a banner to the envelope flap from the ephemera pack.
I adore the word art pieces in the ephemera pack, I adhered one to the right page over the photos and layered a few floral stickers on this page as well!
Decorating the envelope with word phrase stickers and a tiny heart from the Journal Studio Puffy Stickers! I think it’s the little details that can add so much to your pages!
I love how my pages turned out. Journal Studio is very versatile; I like to stick to a loose grid format for my photos/envelopes and then add some flow with stickers and titles!
Thank you so much for joining me today! One last bit of great news to share – Joann’s will be carrying Crate Paper Journal Studio, be sure to check out your local store and online!
