Hello friends! I have a layout today using a few of Vicki’s Artful Technique prompts! I combined drips, texture and a modified rainbow!
I started with a piece of VB Foundations cardstock and then mixed five different powder pigments with VB molding paste and spread the colours through an alphabet stencil. Next, I made some custom colour mixes with Art Crayons to match the colours made with the pigment powders and molding paste. I mixed puddles of colour and then touched my wet brush to the page below the stencilled area. I let the paint drip down the page and added more paint to deepen the colour!
I left the background to completely dry and then had fun embellishing the page! I chose die cuts that “matched” the area of paint and layered them onto the background.
In the pink/red area, I found some cute matching stickers in the Wildflower & Honey sticker book to layer beneath the photo. I fussy cut some vellum butterflies in pinks and teals for extra embellishments!
The molding paste creates a great texture, and I love the texture combined with drips! The artful techniques are a great jumping off point for a page!
Thanks for joining me today!
