Hello!! I am happy to be sharing a spread in my traveler’s notebook album using the gorgeous new Wildflower & Honey Collection by Vicki Boutin! The stamps caught my attention immediately and were the jumping off point for my pages!
I actually started the whole project with a 12×12 piece of white cardstock. I added gesso and let that dry and then added a mix of Vicki Boutin Silver Glaze & Matte Gel Medium through the pretty floral stencil. Once the glaze was dry I used a piece of packaging with the Blue Hawaiin Watercolor Brush to add puddles of paint over the glaze. The awesome thing about the glaze/medium is that it resists the watercolor so you can still see the glaze, I lightly buffed the glaze areas with a dry paper towel to remove any watercolor and bring back the shine!
After the paint layer dried I used the dry stencil brush with the deep teal Art Crayon and added a few details with the same stencil. I love having the light and darker tones of the same colors! Once my paper was all dry I decided to cut it into TN size pages. I stamped and die cut the big florals and leaves from the Wildflower & Honey stamp set. For a focal point I added some handstitching with embroidery floss to two of the big florals in the die cut pack.
On the left side of the spread I used the 6×4 favorites card from the cut-apart paper and a rectangle I cut from my large painted paper. I decided to make a flap from the favorites card and add my photo in the sleeve below. I simply folded a 1″ strip of paper in half and adhered it to both the card and photo. I used my typewriter to add journaling favorites that match with the 6 small photos below! The super sweet bee is from the Wildflower & Honey stamp set and adds the perfect touch. I popped on a little round tab from the Wildflower & Honey Cardstock sticker sheet for a handy way to indicate to lift up the card for more below!
For a final touch I added the best ever sticker to the floral page from the Wildflower & Honey sticker book. I encourage you to have a good play with your Vicki Boutin products and then turn the papers into whatever size works for you!!
Dear Lorilei
I’d like to ask you which album you use to fill in the loose TN pages? And also the TN-page protectors – which brand is it? I couldn’t find it yet.
Thanks!
Inspired by all your creative works!
Greetings
Claudia
