Hello! I am happy to share a layout that I made for the Pinkfresh Studio May Challenge! Each month Pinkfresh Studio hosts a challenge to get you creating! There are prizes and the challenges are easy! I hope you check it out on the Pinkfresh blog!
The challenge this month is – Anything Goes with a color palette selected from Joyful Day, Everyday Musings and Out & About. I thought it was a great opportunity to go colorful and I mixed and matched papers and embellishments from Joyful Day and Everyday Musings.
I started out with a cut file by Paige Evans and chose “rainbow” colors of paper from both collections to back the cut file. I had to be a bit creative with the placement since some of the papers I had left were small pieces! Once the cut file was backed I decided to stitch around the letters with co-ordinating thread. I decided to stitch on the colored papers for a more subtle look.
Next I added paint puddles behind the letters, I color matched the best I could and when I realized I had to paint the peachy color next to blue I better be careful not to make brown! Once the background dried I popped the cut file onto the layout.
Once I added my photo and two cute frames I embellished the letters with puffy stickers that matched the colors of the letters. For my finishing touches I added the gold joy phrase and my daughter’s intitials to the green heart!
I love how my layout turned out! Be sure to join the challenge!
