Hello! My name is Lorilei, and I am thrilled to be sharing my projects with you this month! The time has flown by since I last guested with Elle’s Studio, and I am grateful to be invited back! I am working with the April kit and many gorgeous add-ons available in Elle’s shop!
I adore stamps and stamping. I was immediately intrigued by the Springtime Tabs Stamp and decided to use it in my first project! I paired the stamp set with the colourful April Labels. The labels have prompts like eating, watching, thinking etc. and I thought they would be perfect for a currently spread. I gathered my daughter’s items that she chose for each of the prompts and took a photo.
I chose a pocket insert that would fit in my 6×8 album and then did some measuring to fill each pocket. I cut a rectangle from white paper and stamped the tab in the co-ordinating colour to the label. I then fussy cut around the top of the tab. I stamped a word phrase from the Springtime Tabs Stamp into each tab using black ink. I cut a square piece of cardstock to attach to the outside front of the pocket page; this creates the illusion that I have a page of paper pockets. It also allows the tab part to slide in and out of the pocket page for journaling/reading. I used the Typewriter Alphabet Stamp to stamp the number 1 – 8 on white cardstock and then used a punch to make them into a circle shape (just a note that I laid these number circles on the co-ordinating items in the photo before I adhered them to the project)
Once I had all the pieces stamped and cut, I assembled the pocket page. It went together really quickly at this point since all the pieces were made!
For a finishing touch, I added stars from the Tiny Shapes & Dots Puffy Stickers in co-ordinating colours both on the pockets and photo.
Thanks so much for joining me today!
Love this idea!
Thank you!!
