Hello, and Happy December friends! This month we have been assigned to make some holiday pages using Vicki’s Mixed Media and Wildflower & Honey collection! I put my creative hat on and came up with a way to make the papers work for a holiday layout!
I found the lovely deep green paper in the Wildflower & Honey 6×8 paper pad along with the kraft colored paper and used them as they are. I scraped a layer of Cherry Tart acrylic paint over the burgundy/red paper included in the collection to make it a bit brighter!
Once my red paper had dried, I punched stars from all three papers. I scattered them onto my background and then stitched through the lines of stars with my sewing machine. I added a button to each star and then simply added my photo cluster! I truly love how the stars look, and the buttons add a crafty/homey feel!
I thought I would add in a photo of how I used Vicki’s free Gnome cut file. I used the PNG file and added some text in photoshop, and then I printed it out onto 8.5×11 cardstock. I then cut the paper into a tag shape, punched holes in the side so that I could add it to my December album. I used a mix of Vicki’s watercolor markers and Tombow markers to color in the gnomes!
Thank you for joining me today! Happy December crafting!
