Hello! I am so thrilled to let you know that I am joining the Vicki Boutin design team! I was super excited when Vicki asked me to be a part of her team, and I certainly hope I can bring some inspiration and fun projects using the amazing Vicki Boutin products to her team and community!
I thought I would share a page in a junk journal I made from Vicki Boutin Kaleidoscope papers. I chose the page with the Positive Note paper for my background. This paper has some interesting paint marks on the paper already, but I wanted to add a bit more paint. I chose the dark teal Vicki Boutin Art Crayon with a piece of packaging, I scribbled the Art Crayon on the packaging and spritzed with water and mixed it. I then used the “kissing” method to apply the liquid colour to the paper in 3 areas.
Next up, for some texture, I got out my Vicki Boutin Gold Glaze and scraped it through my Vicki Boutin floral stencil. I applied the glaze to the same three areas that I added Art Crayon. I love that the glaze dries quite quickly so you can continue crafting!
While I was waiting for my page to dry completely, I cut out letters from the Vicki Boutin Kaleidoscope 6×8 paper pad. I chose various colours and patterns for a fun look! Once I had all the letters cut I ran a black marker around the cut edge of the letters so they would pop off the page nicely!
I added a small cluster with the pretty bird as my focal point at the bottom of the page. I added a green heart from the Kaleidoscope 6×8 paper pad as well as a red one on top of the “a” maker! A few items from the Kaleidoscope chipboard and sticker sheets finished off my page!
