Turn the Page Guest

Today is the day!!  I am thrilled to share my pages using Paige Evan’s new collection Turn the Page!  Paige and Pink Paislee have done it again with an outstanding collection of beautiful scrapbook products!

The very first page I made was “That’s What She Said”  I stitched pink heart sequins around my circle made from floral paper, the sparkle they add is just right!  I fussy cut the quotes from Paper 21 to use as the inspiration for the whole layout.  The title is a nod to The Office, one of my favorite shows!

The next layout I made is called “Fresh Start”  I let the quote determine the color story for this page, with the fresh green and blue!  I added Shimmerz Well Blue Me Down & Rolling In The Hay to the background.  I layered leaves cut from white cardstock, and cut from the deep green paper from Turn the Page.  I went through the embellishments and puffy stickers to find the ones with greens and blues!  I fussy cut the swallow and butterflies from the 12×12 papers.  To finish it off I added the sweet little tab from the sticker book!

For my 3rd layout I was ready to dig into the papers!!  There are 24 papers in Turn the Page with their coordinating b-sides which gives you 48 patterns to play with!!  I chose the big beautiful floral and then coordinated the other papers based from it.  I cut simple long banners and roughed up the edges a bit for a shabby look.  I added some of the pretty ribbon as banners as well.  I used a gorgeous big quote embellishment and more butterflies fussy cut from Paper 04.

For my last layout I used the Follow Your Heart cut file from The Cut Shoppe as my jumping off point.  It is such a great way to use many papers by backing the open spots of a cut file!  I mixed and matched papers trying to have different colors and patterns next to each other!  There was a lot of cutting and fitting but I adore the result!  I used a quote fussy cut from Paper 21 (can you tell I love the quotes?) and made a cluster on the lower right and then a mini cluster on the top left for balance.  The sweet little banner is from the sticker sheet and the flowers are fussy cut from Paper 15.

Last but not least I made a mini album!  My daughter had gone to a sleepover and my husband was busy doing tractor type things so I had plenty of time to scrap!  I cut down the cover from an old novel (bought at a library sale) and readied it to hold my little booklets.  I made 3 signatures with about 5-6 pages in each signature.  I did all my sewing and sticking and decorating before I added the signatures to the cover, it makes it much easier!  I kept the pages fairly simple but cute!  I added a repeating theme with little typed sentiment strips!  I love how it turned out!  Every time I turn a page I will remember this exciting opportunity I had!!

The cover for this next signature was inspired by Steffi Ried’s cool stitching!!
