I am sharing a cute little mini album featuring cut files by Paige Taylor Evans + Silhouette! You can find a list of the cut files I used at the bottom of the post!
I decided to make an accordion fold album that holds tags. I started out by cutting two white 12×12 card stock sheets down to 9 x 12 and then scored the sheets into thirds and along the bottom to fold up for a pocket and then attached the two pieces together to make a bigger album. I made 4 tags from white card stock and made two tags from photos! I decided to cut all the files from kraft cardstock since the base of my album was white. I love how the kraft looks with the solid colors from the Turn the Page collection! I backed a cut file for each of the pages and added photos. I decided to use wood veneer as an accent for a natural, outdoorsy feel! I highly recommend putting your Silhouette to work on these gorgeous cut files and making yourself a mini full of memories!!
The geometric reindeer is a favorite!! I got out my Prismacolor Pencils to color in the title to match Turn the Page!
The Pie Chart Heart was fussy to back but I think it is my favorite!!
Love the Folk Art Christmas Trees! I used the off cut from the center of the tree as leaves on the Flower Bunch!

There is a new alpha in town! Back this Font (Design ID #228014) by Paige Taylor Evans + Silhouette! I LOVE this font! It has the perfect size outline and the style is awesome! I went with a big bold title to make it the main design feature of my layout. I backed the cut letters with papers from Fancy Free by Paige Evans & Pink Paislee. I then added chipboard, wood veneer and die cuts from Take Me Away and Turn the Page, also by Paige Evans & Pink Paislee! A few black splatters finished off the layout with one of my all time favorite photos!
So fun to tuck in bits and pieces into the title!
Autumn is my favorite time of year! Some years the leaves last longer in their fall colors than other years. It depends on the big chinook winds we get! The time of year inspired me to use the pretty Leaves Background cut file (Design ID #217959) by Paige Taylor Evans + Silhouette.
I backed each leaf with 6×6 and 12×12 papers from Turn the Page and Take Me Away, both by Paige Taylor Evans & Pink Paislee. I made a large tag from Turn the Page paper and added a punched circle for the hole reinforcer and then hole punched it! I used chipboard, alphas and the title from Take Me Away to embellish! I even used a pattern background which is unusual from my normal white background! I love how the layout turned out!
Turn the Page is perfect for fall!
My Silhouette Cameo was humming yesterday! For this layout I used the super cool Cut and Fold Hearts (Design ID #223761) by Paige Taylor Evans + Silhouette. I actually cut the file twice, the first time with plain white card stock and the second time I used the rainbow striped Paper 22 from Turn the Page. I folded the hearts on each of the papers and then I “slipped” the rainbow paper hearts into the cut side of the white paper and folded the rainbow hearts back. I stitched a line through each row of hearts and fluffed up the edges. I trimmed around the heart paper and mounted it on a pretty pink Paper 10 from Turn the Page. I went to town with Turn the Page embellishments and used a title from the Take Me Away Collection. Along the edge of the page I tucked in my journaling and a few more embellishments!
The tucked away journaling is about how lately I have been thanking myself for some of the decisions my past self has made. One example is that every time I use the automatic needle threader on my sewing machine I am SO glad that I splurged on that feature over 16 years ago. I cannot see close up that well anymore without reading glasses so the automatic threader is the best!!
I love the dimension from the folded hearts!
This week my project for Hip Kit Club was to make a layout based on the weekly sketch challenge in the HKC Members Forum on Facebook! This weeks sketch was made by the lovely Beata Valint! I kept very close to the sketch and used so many gorgeous goodies from the September 2017 Hip Kits! I hand cut the hearts to scatter along the sides of the two “photo” areas and as an extra bonus I found out I can fit a 12×12 paper into the typewriter my neighbor gave me, so I added my journaling in the middle of the page and used the exclusive gold alpha for my title!
It is free to join the HKC Member Forum even if you are not a subscriber and the weekly sketches are such fun! Be sure to check it out!
Have I said how much I love being on Paige’s Silhouette Design Team? Well I do, very much, I feel very lucky! Paige’s designs are so fun and a inspire creativity! This week I worked with the Flowers or Leaves (Design ID #216720) cut file. I cut a whole sheet of feathers after sizing them down to about 3.5 inches high. I backed each of the feathers with a paper from the Turn the Page 6×6 paper pad. I then added corners to a piece of white cardstock and stitched lace ribbon from Turn the Page along the edges. I then fussy cut flowers from the floral paper in the 12×12 paper pad and scattered them along the top of the feathers.
I chose a recent photo that is sure to be one of my favorites, the layout feels very boho to me and I love it!
I was bound and determined to use the little Amy Tangerine Suede Bows included in the September 2017 Hip Kit! I went through a few different ideas of how to use them and settled on using them as little “hangers” for mini frames! The 2×2 swatch paper pad from Turn the Page are perfect as the little pictures in the frames. I started out by drawing frames and gave that idea up pretty quickly, instead I turned to photoshop and made one frame the size I needed and then copied it 9 times and printed them out. They were actually quite quick to fussy cut and came out nicely. To assemble I used Aleene’s Tacky Glue and just put a dot of glue at the top point of the frame hanger and then another dot on top for the bow. I wanted them to be able to lift up. I added a 2×2 paper with a sentiment on top of each frame and then embellished using Turn the Page puffy stickers and chipboard. Underneath each of the 9 frames I added a photo or an embellishment cluster with a 2×2 paper as a base. I kept the under frame additions fairly simple so the frames would lay flat. It turned out super cute and Hannah loves to look at it and lift the frames!
A peek under a couple of the frames, very hard to photograph them all flipped up!!
