Found Myself – Hip Kit Club

Hello!  I am sharing a layout today that was made by just playing with all the gorgeous products in the March 2018 Hip Kits!  I didn’t have any specific assignment which was super fun!  I picked out most of the goodies from the Embellishment Pak and used them for my color scheme.

I piled up loads of Crate Paper ephemera and Pinkfresh Studio frames around my photo.

I love how the mixed media shows through the Pinkfresh Studio Be You frames!

I added some white paint and Vicki Boutin Irridescent glaze to the Pebbles Thickers to change the color!

HRM – Hip Kit Club

This week at the Hip Kit Club we are playing along with a mood board that Jill Sprott created!  I also had the assignment to have “fun with alphas” for my layout.  This is the first time I have used a mood board to make a layout, to begin with I was taking it VERY literally and ending up with backgrounds that didn’t go with anything in the kit, once I decided to use a more general inspiration approach it went better for me!  I loved using a mood board and definitely want to put more practice into it!

I decided to run with the circles all over the mood board and used a  big doily I had sitting around.  I used any and all alphas I could find in the March 2018 Hip Kits, I even used letters from the Pebbles Thickers Phrases to spell out the words around my circle.

I used the Simple Stories I Am chipboard to embellish around my photo and in between the words around the circle.  I love the colors in this pak!

Sweet and Simple – Hip Kit Club

Hello!  Today I am sharing a layout using the March Hip Kits!  Being a new scrapbooker I don’t have a history with rub-ons.  There has been lot’s of buzz about how excited people are to have them showing up in collections again!  I took the opportunity with this layout to give them a good workout!  The 1Canoe2 gold foil rub-ons came in the March 2018 Project Life Kit and they are gorgeous!

Before I used the rub-ons I laid out almost all of my design.  I knew there were no second chances and wanted to be sure of the placement.  I took a photo so I would know where everything went and then started adding the rub-ons!  They worked beautifully and they are so shiny!  I added the bigger rub-ons in a vertical strip and then scattered some of the little fireflies around the center design.

I scattered some beautiful embellishments with the rub-ons above and below my photo cluster!  Some gold splatters finished off the page, I love how it turned out!

Beautiful Butterflies – Hip Kit Club

I certainly have been dreaming of spring lately and the February 2018 Hip Kits go right along with that dream!  The colors are fresh and delightul.  I used one of the exclusive cut files of the butterflies and bugs.  I cut out only the butterflys and then I fussy cut a load of butterflies from the Crate Paper buttefly paper.  I used 3 standout butterflys from Crate Paper Flourish Standouts found in the February 2018 Hip Kit Embellishment Pak.  I layered the fussy cut and die cut butterflies around a circle and tucked my photo in on the right side.  I added the love chipboard from Pick Me Up for the finishing touch!

Nurture – Hip Kit Club

Today I am sharing a layout I made featuring the February 2018 Hip Kit Embellishment Add On. I love the Crate Paper Flourish Standouts and used all but 2 of them on my banner! I added some pretty paint from the February 2018 Hip Kit Color Kit to blend the background in with the embellishments. I think adding pretty things to a string banner is one of my favorite ways to make a scrapbook page! I even tucked in one gold “L” from the Gold Thickers!

I love the purple color the distress oxide and dylusion spray from the february 2018 Hip Kit Color kit make!

Pretty bits strung on a string make me happy!

Purpose – Hip Kit Club

I am sharing my layout I made for Flowers & Butterflies week on the Hip Kit Club blog!  The theme is right up my alley, I couldn’t resist creating some light airy layered butterflies with the beautiful papers in the February 2018 Hip Kits.  I am also featuring the February 2018 Project Life Hip Kit.  For my background I cut one of the pink triangles from the Pick Me Up paper to ground all my embellishments.  I jazzed up my photo with some of the pretty Pinkfresh Studio labels and a tag!

I love the springy feel the soft papers give the butterflies!

Worth It / Hip Kit Club

Sharing my layout for Mixed Media Monday on the Hip Kit blog using the gorgeous February 2018 Hip Kits. I had a few false starts for this project and ended up trashing a few papers! When you are playing with paint and mist and experimenting, sometimes that can happen! It finally occurred to me to mix the Dylusions spray and the Lemon paint to make a peachy color and then the page took flight from there with the stunning  Pinkfresh Studio Let Your Heart Decide goodies and the Distress Oxide ink! I am happy with the way the page turned out, so if at first, you don’t succeed in mixed media, keep on trying!!

I love the heart paper from Pinkfresh Studio, I used it on multiple layouts this month!

Gorgeous painty puddles!!

Carefree

Today I am sharing a page I made for the Hip Kit Club Weekly Sketch Challenge! I used the March 2nd Sketch by Tehri for my layout. At first I was going to cut some patterned paper into squares and then I saw the Pinkfresh Studio heart paper and thought I would use that as the big long title on the sketch. I then decided a white background would be lovely and cut a set of squares from white cardstock on my silhouette. I backed with another sheet of white cardstock and stitched around the squares with my sewing machine. I adhered the photo and fussy cut a big long group of hearts. I added a few of the Pinkfresh Studio epoxy hearts, a title from the ephemera pak and a wood sentiment also by Pinkfresh Studio. Such a fun sketch! You can find the sketches in the Hip Kit Club Member Forum in the photo albums it is free to join the facebook group!

I adore the heart paper from Pinkfresh Studio’s Caper Paper from the Let Your Heart Decide Collection.

Everyday

I am sharing a layout I made featuring the Pinkfresh Studio Mix No 2 Cardstock Stickers found in the January 2018 Project Life Kit. I love the feel and quality of these stickers. I used them as little “pots” for my cut file flowers (found in the February Cut File section on the website) I backed the flowers with papers from the January 2018 main kit and then stitched around them with white floss. I finished off the page with the super cute Pinkfresh Studio Mix No 2 Yellow Puffy Alpha Stickers for my long title.

Stiching up close!

Love the colors in the Pinkfresh Studio Mix No 2

All You Need

I love Mixed Media Monday over on the Hip Kit blog!  I shared this page there yesterday!  We received some super cool Distress Oxides in Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade in the January 2018 Color Kit.  I decided to paint an extra paper with lovely puddles of paint!  The Distress Oxides blend and oxidize beautifully when you sprinkle water on them!  After the sheet dried I punched as many hearts from the paper as I could, I then layered them down the page over top of random stamping with the sweet Vicki Boutin – All the Good Things Roller Stamp.  To embellish I used SO many flowers from the Exclusive Hip Kit Die Cut pak!  I layered quite a few of the project life cards beneath my photo and also used a PL card for my title!

A cute little epoxy badge from Pinkfresh Studio is the perfect item to top off the layers!

Lovely paint marks!
