Mini of Memories – Felicity Jane

I was inspired to make a mini album full of memories about joining the Felicity Jane Design Team!  The Lola collection is “so” Felicity Jane, and I thought it would be perfect!

I gathered some pre-made tags, packaging, pocket pages and I cut some 12×12 papers and journal cards into tag shapes as well.  When I make a mini album, I like to make embellishments first, so that I am sure to leave room for the pretty things!  I used the solid pink paper, and the Felicity Jane bow cut file to put together a big pink bow!

The Lola stamp set played a big part in the mini, I added stamps to the tags, and I loved one of the tags just with stamping, so I added that into the album on its own!  I love having pages of different lengths in the album so that they peek out under the tag before them.  I added the Lola confetti to a pocket page, and I love that it shows no matter which page of the album you are looking at!

I added photos of the first projects I made.  The Lola tissue paper fringe is the perfect addition to the bottom of the tag; it looks like a fancy little skirt!

I LOVE how the mini album turned out.  I added the big pink bow to the cover which is made from the Lola mint scalloped paper.  A band of black and white journal card and some punched circles were the best home for my FJ title using the Lola polka dot chipboard alpha!   A tag album would be a great project to use up your Felicity Jane scraps!

Thanks so much for joining me today!  See you again soon!

She Loves 2 Dance – Felicity Jane

One of the things I love about Felicity Jane is all the black and white that comes in the kits!  Most of the Lola papers have a black and white pattern on the back.  Mixing with pink and mint with black and white is such a fab combination!

I started out my page with some black gesso spread over the white cardstock in rough swipes.  I added a branding strip, a piece of pink cardstock with a scallop and a Felicity Jane scallop cut file from white cardstock in a vertical cluster.

For my photo area, I layered up pretty papers and a journal card and tucked in the pink fringe from the Lola kit with a couple other scallops I made on my silhouette.  The little black hearts were stamped with the Lola stamp set and I punched some hearts from paper I had painted with pink paint.  The gorgeous polka dot and mini puffy alpha finished off my page!

This Is Me – Felicity Jane

I am super excited and honestly a bit nervous to share my first project for the Felicity Jane Design Team!  It is quite an honor to be on the team, and I feel very lucky!  When I received my first kit – Lola, I spent some time admiring everything and decided to make a layout for my first project!  I have other ideas about project formats I want to try with my Felicity Jane goodies, but the florals (Florals & Stripes paper) were begging to be fussy cut and highlighted!

I started the layout with a white cardstock base and layered the dark pink paper with the Stitches & Dots paper.  I fussy cut the large main floral cluster as well as three other floral pieces from the Florals & Stripes paper to use as layering pieces.  I assembled a library pocket using a Felicity Jane cut file from the Rainbow & Grid paper and it makes the perfect spot to tuck in a tag and some journaling!

This layout has lots of pretty dimension.  I added the Gingham & Hearts paper (6×6) behind my photo with a bit of tissue and foam backing.  I layered all the fussy cut florals at different heights of the layout so they would have some lovely shadows to make them pop!

I decorated the top of the library pocket with die cuts and a plain white flower.  I tucked the pink floral scallop just under the photo for a pop of color; it also helps to draw my eye to the photo!  An “H” from the Polkadot Alphas finishished off the layout!

Sunshine

We are off to our first dance competition today!  I took some photos of my daughter in her jazz solo costume on picture day weekend and thought they would be fun to scrap!  She is dancing to Walkin’ on Sunshine.  Very fun and cheery! I actually found the dress and yellow tutu on Amazon so I didn’t have to do too much work making a costume this year.

I had a few papers and tag I had made while playing with Vicki Boutin watercolors so I used that as my base and also made a layered butterfly from the painted paper.  The pink paint chip is from Crate Paper as is the black and white paper. I even busted out some Felicity Jane hearts to finish it off!

I love adding cut files cut from white cardstock for a soft layer!  The butterfly is my favorite!

I cut the title on my silhouette and added some typed journaling!

Loved

I am sharing a layout made with my happy bin contents!  It is so much fun digging around in the bins and seeing what I find!  I used some left over clear stickers from Pretty Little Studio, Thickers I have had for a long time and a stamp set designed by Suse Fish for Felicity Jane for the title!  There is lots of white space on this layout with some pretty papers and ruffles!  Love how it turned out!

I made a cut little rosette banner for the layout!

Lovely puddles of pink paint!
