Hello Crate Paper friends!! Have you seen All Heart? This is one stunning collection! The boho vibe, florals, and colors are so inspiring. Crate Paper always seems to capture a feeling and make it into a collection, if you can’t tell, I absolutely love All Heart!
Today I am sharing a layout I made using All Heart. I wanted to keep it loose and carefree with a collage type of feel with lots and lots of florals!
I started the layout with a few hours of fussy cutting all the florals from the Wild paper. I decided to keep a thin border around the florals which makes it easier to cut and keeps the collage feel. I also prepared by cutting up the Collage and Selfie paper so I would have pretty items to work with. I like to pop on a video and fussy cut the time away!
I selected the Stardust paper for my background. I chose the All We Have Is Now a card from the Collage cut-apart paper and the Be You “photo” from the Selfie paper as my main embellishments. Once I had my two cards, and my photo positioned I used a different All Heart washi tape at the top of each for a pinned look!
Next up was adding flowers! It was so much fun to make floral bouquets and clusters. In my photo, my daughter had been holding a flower. I had erased over it in photoshop before printing my photo, knowing that I would exchange it for one of the fussy cut flowers. I thought it added a fun touch, as her hand was in the perfect position to hold a flower. I used foam dot adhesive to add dimension to the bouquets. I kept the florals in two areas so that they would pop and not get lost in the details.
Once I had everything adhered I used a palette knife to scrape on some white paint around the photos and florals. Once that was dry I added some pencil marks and washes of grey paint for a bit of a messy look! It helped to ground my embellishments and make them stand out from the patterned background.
I had SO much fun making this layout. There are so many ways you could add fussy cut flowers from the Wild paper to your photos. You could make a crown wreath or run them down the side of a photo or make a “nest” of florals for the photo to sit in.
Thank you for joining me today. All Heart is going to be one of my favorite collections; I hope it will be yours too!
